Default Engine over heated

Hey everyone yesteday was a bad day for me, i bought a ford racing thermostat housing last week and i put it on yesterday, the bypass tube on the water neck was not tight, the hose was tight but the water neck has a threded tube in it for the bypass on the water pump. ford did not make it tight i guess. I did not know that it was leaking coolant, i let the car warm up and build pressure and it was not leaking, so i went for a drive. but as i was driving down the road i guess it built up more pressure from getting warm, and it started spraying all over the place under the hood, i did not smell anything or see anything as i was driving, but i looked at my temp and it was 180 or so, but the next time i looked at it, it was like 200 but that not to bad yet, so i turned on my fans, and it was still rising and then all of a sudden it jumped from 200 to 260 or so.
now i dont think 260 would hurt anything but like my polished intake and valve covers look like **** now. im just wondering if anyone thinks i should call ford and bitch at them for screwing up my stuff.

The warranty is for the part and they are not liable as you are the installer. If the failure of the part caused it, like the fitting itself somehow cracked under normal use, no problem. Just because you didn't double check something doesn't make ford liable.
