SC's take more power to turn (belt drivin) but have more consistant power

TC's can USUALLY make more boost and have more of a problem with 'lag' when shifting gears

yea, TCs usually are more expensive also if you do it right (ie intercooler)which it puts in a colder charge of air so it gives you more power!!plus they are easier to turn. personally i would never turbo an engine because of turbo lag.

As long as you buy a turbo charger that was made in this century, then you'll be good. Turbo lag is a thing of the past, welcome to the future.
Turbo technology has developed greatly over the past couple years or so. I used to be convinced that Superchargers were the greatest, but now that these turbo companies are spurting up all over the place, the technology has come allong with them. Now there is no wait for that huge, heavy turbo to spool up. They use all sorts of lightweight metals and all sorts of little components to eliminate the lag. As long as your not running insane amounts of boost, there is no lag and they are more efficient than the SC of the past.
