Default TRANS SWAP

i got a 88 gt. it has the 85mph gauge, i took a tranny out of a 93, the spedo said 140. is my spedo still accurate? if not how much is it off?? thanks... plus! my 5.0 has headers, straight pipe, with a performance chip, and a few other small things, how much of a dif would cold air intake make? i noticed when its really cold outside my carhas alot more pick up, is that normal?and is it worth puttin a 70mm TB on it to make a difference, or not? ..... Thanks

either change the speedo gear, or put a 140mph cluster in, i think the cluster would be easier....

OT:metal cold air piping tends to warm up, but not much, try to stick with plastic or modify the stock tube for a fenderwell/front lip ram-air....try out a heat spacer between the upper and lower intakes to help with the heat...<edited><editID>bmorrisj</editID><editDate>37992.1368981482</editDate></edited>
