Default UPR Clutch Quadrant and Adjustable cable.

I just bought the UPR Quadrant, Firewall adjuster and Adjustable cable. Installed it today. Was almost done and ran into a problem trying to reinstall the cover on the side of the Trans and it won't fit because of the Threads of the cable.

Has anyone run into this and what have you done to repair it?

I was thinking about drilling a hole in the back of the cover and letting the cable hang out.
But I figured it would rust up.

I would like to hear your stories.

Thanks.

i don't have the UPR kit, but i highly doubt that you needed to removed whatever cover you're talking about.. my kit included the firewall adjuster, 3-fork billet quadrant, and the adjustable cable... and it went in fine, i just had to screw with the routing a little bit.

Sorry it is the Cover on the side of the trans that covers the Clutch fork. The Threaded part of the cable on the fork side won't allow the cover to go back on.To many of the threads are sticking out.

Your cover fit back on properly?

You have to remove the cover to attach the cable to the clutch fork.

My clutch fork didn't have any cover, not sure if it's supposed to.

I loosened till it got sloppy and tightened slightly then took up the rest of the play with the firewall ADJ.
