I am going to build that exact tranny, cept B&M converter instead of edge, nice numbers you can really tell with the times thats one finely tuned ride.
unless your getting it for practicly free i wouldnt waste the money or time with a shelf converter. www.edgeracingconverters.com or www.converter.com thats the only 2 companys i would consider. you need a custom converter.

So, rsw007, you've got that 3000 rpm stall, why don't you launch any higher than 1400-1500 rpms?

What is soo bad about the off the shelf converters? I have a new B&M sitting in the box still I was going to take it back and buy Quik's old one which is identicl for 150 bones....How do they compare? What are the flaws of the off the shelf?

well when i ran n/a it launched best at 1400rpms flashing the converter. so thats were i tried it on the gas and ran 11.95 on first pass so it may do better stalled higher on the gas dont know. was scared to make more than 2 passes since the torque boxes arent welded and still running the stock axles. a 1.52 and 1.54 back to back 60fts its pushing the limits of the boxes and stock axles.

well your theory could work but cant work all the time. thats like saying that you shouldnt use a off the shelf cam and only get custom cams. i know plenty ppl running a off the shelf stall and having great success. dont always rule out off the shelf parts

shelf cams and shelf converters will work but 9 out of 10 times custom will work better. if you can get a supper deal on a shelf converter do so but if im going to spend 300plus i would spend the little extra for a custom that i know will work best for my car.

Yea thats understandable, how much have you put into it? Considered methanol injection? A simple 300 dollar kit gains of 50-78 hp, it cools the air charge and is of great benefit to forced induction cars. Might shave a tenth off the time or so. Just an idea. But how much have you put into it?
THAT MI WILL NOT GIVE YOU EVEN 20HP ON A N/A car....now with a turbo or even a s/c car yes in deed.....I'm a sorta non believer in the 12.88 in your car as been 150 heavier than the notch..but hey anything is possible....mainly because I beleive the convertor you have is still lose on the upper end....I sure would love to see a video not to see the 12 but to see your launch off the juice

Nice setup, those are very impressive ets for a just bolt on car and built trans. Just think of what you could do with h/c/i added to that.

Does that belt you have run the water pump? What size is it? Did you switch to a manual rack or did you just plug up the power one? Also were you able to calibrate your speedometer for the 4.10's?

In the engine pick it looks like you don't have a crossmember. Whats up with that? Did you go with a tubular one?
