I have a 92 mustang that makes a light uneven tapping noise when first in the day. You can only hear the noise in idle and if you drive the car for ten minutes the noise will leave and not reaturn even if idle. I beleave it could be lifters but how could I fix it. The car has a cracked head and i bought it cheap to fix and resale. Could the head have something to do with this and when I fix it will it get better? The oil is dirty to if changed will this fix it?

Yea def. fix everything. Not smart to be driving around if you think something is wrong w/ your lifters and a cracked head.
