yeah, if you don't have spark, definitely try a new TFI.. my experience with those has been --- cold starts the car's ok.. but when the car gets warm, it cuts out and dies.. hopefully its something simple like the TFI tho. that'll suck to tear down again so soon!!

I have spark, it just wont turn on, I have fuel beacause I can smell it. Its gotta be some sort of timing issue. I just really hope its not the valves. Because I had a Mechanic buddy of mine do it for me and I dont know if he did it right. Im thinking he just bottomed out the rockers and tighened them down.

Its not sputtering at all. I get one back fire when I first try it but nothing after that.

Did you watch him while he was tightening them down. if he just went hard and tightened the **** outta them then the chances of having proper preload is totally messed, as well one cylinder will be different than the others. Did you try my sugestion on how to restart the timing?

well you say that you get one pop when you first try to start it, i would say its just out of time. watch it when trying to start it like that. if it is backfireing like that you can blow the muffler apart. do what schwindty said to get it timed right, you do have a timing light right?

Sounds like the timing or dizzy is way off. Are you properly aligned on the timing gears?
