RE: need tips
I would go with a tubular K member, and control arms, get rear and front strut tower braces, and get the following kit:
http://www.themustangshop.ca/site/ca...artNumber=REIx
I don't know how that kit compares in price to other places, thats where I get most of my parts from, they seem to have nice prices on everything else.
Then if you are keeping it stock "Looking" I would get a manual sterring system get rid of the power steering ( They are still fairly easy to drive)
Then take the intake and heads off and get them ported with some 1.7 Rollor Rockers...everything will appear stock and you will show some awesome numbers on some drag slicks.....
Do you have a AOD?

RE: need tips
Nah if you do some mill and port work on them head's and intake ( get TMoss to do it) its fairly cheap, get some drag radials, ( Not sure what converter you have in that tranny, let me know) and do all the suspension mods you should be low 13's high 12's maybe if everything it tuned right that is.
Here is Tmos's Page he does awesome work look at the dyno numbers he has:

RE: need tips
With that 3000 Stall shift kit and 4:10's Ported E7's and intake Upper/Lower ( Tmoss charges 200 for porting intakes) ( not sure on machine shop rates for heads) you will easily be in the low low 13's high 12's with the suspension and slicks... I think anyways.
