Default Rear end going out?

Hey I have a little problem. My rear end makes a loud howling noise when driving. It gets louder as my speed increases and has nothing to do with rpm. When I turn left the howling stops. I jacked it up and spun the tires and there is no howl, (but the wheels are both moving at whatever speed they want.) I added grease to the rear end (was not very low) Do you think that it is something to do with the posi in the rear end, or wheel bearing mabey? Any help on this would be nice.

Check your trans fluid too... in my old '67 it sounded like my rear end was makin some noise, while really all the fluid had just leaked out of my tranny =)

One of 2 things either wheel bearings are gone or the Crown and pinion need re-alignment trannies also make a sound but usually have crapy shifting characteristics before howling.
