i have power windows and my driver window wont roll down. when i press the button i hear a click inside but not action. could the window motor have broken? how much are those?

Either the track slipped off the bottum of the winter and you have to start taking the door apart...... Or the motor burn and you have to start taking the door apart..... Either way you better start taking the door apart....lol... Take all the panneling off see if the track is still in tact and working.... if yes then it has to be the motor................ FIRST CHECK THE FUSE !

i reparied my motor.. when the clutch in the motor shattered .. i just opened it up and replaced the plastic clutch with the headf off a bolt.. but i had the problem of it wouldent come back up... from ford the motors cost a pretty penny ranging from 100 to 140
its not to hard to take the door panel off then you just peel back soem nice weather plastic and its only three screws holing the motor in place you can pull it out and inspect it or see if the window has come off track.. if you get the motor out hook it back up externally and take a pair of pliers and grab the gear on the motor.. if you can hold the pliers while the motor is on.. the motor is tired and its time to get a new one.. .. alot of torque in those motors should beable to wrench the pliers out of your hand.. unless your some sort of muscle machine..

ok ill look at the fuse. my guess is the motor is dead because there is not sound. by my car seems retarded. one time the keyless entry wouldnt work than the next morning it did. thats how the window broke. the next morning it just wouldnt roll down. ill TRY to take it apart tomorrow. damnit, i was supposed to race fri. i also need a new battery tray lol. and my power lock button on the drivers side doesnt work (never had) *sigh*
