Default Bettery relocation Sealed or not

i have a 94...so my truck is sealed off from the cabin in a sense.. so to buy a sealed box is pointless correct..? i mean im looking at the difference from a 45 bucks or 120 bucks sealed

well if you buy a sealed box you dont need a sealed batter.... if you get an unsealed box you need a sealed battery.... so whichever is cheapest as my understanding of it

As far as I know if the battery is in the trunk, and the area is sealed off from the drivers compartment, you don't even need a battery box. Just make sure that the battery is retained using 2 3/8" fastners to the CAR ( thru trunk floor)
BTW, make sure you have a battery cut-off switch that really works.......

tinman is right,

but the acid has a chance to splash in the trunk.
I wouldnt want to clean that mess.
go sealed box, or not sealed with a sealed battery.

i am in the middle of relocating my battery to my trunk in my 94 GT. and i just bought the kit from summit for like 45 bucks. but my question is, why do you need a cut off switch? why cant you just run everything the way it was in the front of the car just using longer wires and stuff? why cant it be when you turn the key its on? do you really need a cut off switch cut out? whats the purpose?

think of a 18ft long cabel that and be rubbed through along its way to the front and short out and catch the car on fire. the switch can shut off the cable and save your car. its pretty much the same reason why they put fuses on an amp cabel in a car

nope, would be a good idea though. But is there a reason your relocating the battery to the rear?
