motor swap

Hey guyz

I was wondering if i could swap a 5.0 motor, or any v8 into my 1992 lx 4cl, and still have it be smog legal. thanks for the help.

I dont see why not. As long as the new motor has all the smog set up.

I say TURBO the 4 cyl. i think you can find a used turbo setup for cheap too. Am i right?

Considering how most turboed 4 bangers run about 200 horsepower, and the factory is an underrated 260 hp, the only way to get over it is to run forged internals and bump the boost. But thats alot more money than a new or used 5.0, you could prolly buy a crate engine with alot more power than that....
