Ok this might be a really stupid question with a really simple anyone can figure out answer, but its flying by me. What the hell is the redline at 55mph for on a 93 5.0? Agian srry if its really dumb but its been racking my head for awhile.

Are you asking what the RPMs are at 55MPH on a stock 5.0? i would say about 1500 but cant remeber since i got gears in mine and my RPMS are higher then a stock would be. and i am sure its different from an AOD vs. a t5.

it was the speed limit in most places, now its 65, or if your like me you say f*ck the speed limit and just set the cruise between 80-90

no 55 is considered to be the most fuel efficient speed, and that stuck with the manufacters since the 70s fuel crisis!when they dropped the speed limits down to 55, and they didnt come back up like other countries, we have the lowest speed limits in the world and the cheapest gas doesnt make sense!
