ok if i just throw on a 140 speedo will it read the mph right or isthere something i havta do? an if thereis what is it

I belive you need the speedo gear thats correct to the speedo.

Yes, they have different heads for different speedos. That also affects your odometer and such.. i think

I threw a 145 into my thunderbird's stock 120 and it read correctly... would assume that the mustang would be the same.
