resource for keyed power on 88gt???
Ok I just installed an electric fan from a taurus and a adjustable thermostat... Thing is I need a source for keyed power??? I just figured there would be terminals in the fuse box that I could use but there isn't.. Am I missing them??? It pulls 20 amps and called for a 30amp inline fuse. I got it hooked to battery+ now but it needs to be installed to a keyed power source... What have you done??? BTW the fan works great and I only got about 50 bux in the whole damn setup.. Nice an quiet too.

those taurus fans pull 70 amps at the initial startup, I kept blowing 30 amp fuses when I had mine on.
to connect to a keyed power source, you can just hook it to the starter solenoid.
or, if you need the 12 volt keyed source, you can hook into the power wire for the evp solenoid (I think thats what its called) it is by that carbon canister on the passenger side at the front. anyways, if you cant find it, the plug for it is right beside the coolant temp sensor, follow the wires and test which one is power, the other is a ground.

Yeah I need a 12v keyed power source.. I have it hooked to the started solenoid now but I don't want it to run after the key is off. I got it wired up so I can switch it on indepently with a toggle switch under the dash. I will check the evap hookup later after it stops raining.. Thanks..
