hahaha...i love how people "think" they know what they are talking about...ide love to know how it "will hurt performance" if you are reducing back pressure...think about it for a second...argue it or not, its the facts...im not trying to argue an idea i thought of myself, quit beleive what others say and research it bro

From what I have learned at exhaust shops and growing up around machanics Ive learned that 3" would hurt my torque a bit and I prolly wont go with 3" but I was just considering it because I am so light and more horsepower up top might be more ideal for my car. But 2.5 is prolly what I will end up going. Not sure which one but I have narrowed it down to a couple. Most likely in that order.</P>

flowmaster suggests that you not use the 3" unless you have over 400hp. does that count for research?? <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>

cause its so f**kin hard to get low velocity exhaust through their restrictive mufflers. if it was straight through it wouldnt be a problem <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

Some glasspacks flow good, but others don't flow worth s**t. You have to be careful about what you're buying, because they're not all created equal. Some glasspack mufflers have louvres inside that face inward which creates a ton of turbulence as exhaust gases are expelled, thus increasing back pressure. They sound way to raspy for me anyway. I like deep and growly.

It's plain and simple: need high end power? go 3"
need low-midrange torque? 2.5"
But at the drag strip you need rpm, so basicly the 3" will give better performance not better torque.

3" is no good at all. Unless your got a pro mod car. Unless you got some serious mods done. And your running very high horse power.</P><edited><editID>BLKSTANG9879</editID><editDate>37997.0316435185</editDate></edited>
