i just notice something, when i'm driving my check engine comes on but only when the rpm is about 2000, if its below or higher the check engine won't come on, it won't do it on neutral just when its on gear(any of them), and its ****ing annoying.

my mustang is a '92 5.0 i belive its a t-5

Go to autozone and have them pull the codes, are just purchase a obd 1 compatiable code scanner...
