Default car questions

ok i have a 1985 302 engine and i want to put it in a mustang what year mustang do i have to have for every thing to plug up right i know probly the 1983-1993 or somt thing in that range just im not sure if it would matter or not i dont wanna buy a car and find out it wont work. thanks for your help o i have a racing transmittion to that needs to go in the car i put the engine in

i dont think it matters as long as you have the harnnesses for it . either you go carb still or fuel injected.

you mean the harnness off the car where i got the engine from or the harnness for the car im putting the engine in to? and im going with a carb for a lot less wiring and if it had the 4 cyl in it would it make a difference on the harnness?
