Default TIRE SIZE

HELP APPRECIATED...

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST SIZE I M/T ET STREET I CAN PUT ON MY 92 LX
with out taking off the quad shocks.

Then what is the biggest size I can put on with out the quad shocks??

I was thinking a 26x10.5x15... will that work with my car??
what is that the equivalent to?? is it like a 275/40/15??

If someone could help me, I would so appreciate it before I go out and waste money on something I cant use properly..

Thanks

Ok I have stock rim and 255-60-15 street tire thats about the same as 10"x 27X15 tire and it rubs, I have quad whocks and stock fenders and stock control arms...you can fit a 275-50-15 with the fenders rolled and quads removed and aftermarket control arms...
im not a tire expert. but its safest to run like a 10" slick on stock rim. if you go with a taller tire it will rub.

well i have aftermarket control arms... and someone told me that I could take off the quad shocks now, since they are really only serving a purpose with the stock control arms.

I just want to be able to get an ET street on my welds... I think that If I ge the 26/10.5/15
that it will work, if I take the quad shocks off and pound in the inner fender... you're right

I had to use a 3lb. hammer to roll mine. They came out really good. just take your time and wear eye protection, once you begin to hammer. Good luck!!!~!

255-50-16 is what i use...it is a mickey et radial. it measures out to 26 X 10 1/2"

you can keep your quads and just reverse them end-for-end they will fit no problem.(about 1/2" left over)

if you leave them as is...10" is all you can get w/ a stock rim and back spacing.(no cheater slicks are 10" ...just full slick)

you will NOT be able to get 11 1/2" on there at all, w/out ghetto backspacing or spacers.

but 10 1/2" is more than enuff.

you don't need to roll your fenders either...my car has the eibach springs, and no problems at all.

my old notch w/ the 26 X 10.5 X 15 et streets started to cut into the sidewall a bit, on the rt side, so i had to use an airbag. single bag kit, $30 , and it launched really nice after that. very evenly.

THANK YOU!!! I've been wondering the exact same question for my 92'. I picked up a set of 10 holes and painted the centers black and I'm wanting to pick up some ET's this coming spring and maybe run what I can on them. Either that or buy some 15x10 welds and mount something on those...

Does anybody run a 275/60/15? My ET Streets are just about done, and I want to put regular street tires on but I want to make sure they are'nt too big.
