Hello, I have a 1996 351W in my mustang and was thinking of trying the edelbrock performer rpm air gap intake. Any comments or suggestions on this intake or any suggestions to a better one? Thanks, Dave

there were dyno tests on a 350 that showed it made excelent low end power while still running the same high rpm hp as the victor jr. so the rest of your engine (most importantly cam) is big enough then it would be a reat purchase. i have one on my car, but it isnt runnning yet

My car is fuel injected now but doent seem to be running right with the combination I am running so I am switching it back to a carb and intake setup. I have a 1996 351 windsor roller motor out of an f150. I am using the motorsport Z303 cam with 10.5-1 compression flat top pistons. I thought the air gap would be a good intake, it was not much more than the other intakes that were the traditional style.

You might just need a tune.

Or a stand alone fuel management system heh

I have this intake as well on my 351. I dont have it running just yet but i compared most of the single and dual plane intakes out there
and this intake was, for the street, the best all around intake i could buy for the money.
Hot Rod did an intake comparison with all of the edlebrock intakes from the performer to the super victor on the same engine"small block chevy 350 with a mild build and cam" and the air gap was only down 8hp from the victor jr. but it was up 13lb ft which for me
is better on the street. To me it's not the max horsepower, I want the most average hp and mid rpm torque.
I am now picking up a proform 750 carb as it will work great with my Trick Flow stage 2 cam.
Plus i'm going to be shooting a 150 shot into it.
