I don't know of a safer way to do it, personally. That's not something I'd want to trust southern engineering.

^^^ YOu can buy repair kits but I wouldnt run one on mine, The repair kits require a flairing tool soo its almost cheaper to get the line replaced! Damn that sucks dude! dont worry I have done worse ( Lighting the engine on fire)

So dont go with the compression fittings? I just baught a couple and see it it works.

What sux is I finished my MAF convertion and am eger to see how it runs, I tryed to turn it on it started up but then died then I noticed a huge puddle of fuel so then I hosed it down and now im trying to figure out what to do.

BTW that MAF convertion wasnt hard at all.

Hey also do I need to do this in the MAF swap? (in red) I dont use cruise control so im just wondering.

I've tried using compression fittings on brake lines before... yes i know it says not to on the package... and they leaked after oh say... the first push on the pedal

I'm not sure how they'd do on fuel line with 30 to 40 lbs pressure (i think that's right?) You could always go ahead and try it.

Just try and keep sparks away from there... gas is used in combustion engines for a reason
