Default 125 shot???

I have a 92 5.0 i have headers h pipe no cars full 2.5 inch and magniflow mufflers, underdrive pulleys, all the sound crap out of the intake with a k&n. msd ignition 3.55 gears and some other small motor mods, stock motor and cam 19 injectors and fuel pump. i ran a zex 100 shot this summer with no problems went through 3 bottles, this summer im going to put it up to 125 shot and not cook anything and was wondering what i change with my fuel system. was thinking 190 fuel pump and a fuel presser regulator, if thats all i would need what should i set the fuel presser at. thanks

yes, bigger fuel pump and regulator. maybe one step colder plugs if you havent yet and back out another degree or two. i would set the pressure to 38 then spray and adjust it on the dyno.

sounds right on the money to me....

w/ no dyno you just want to be phat. so no vac 44 should be plenty. is it spiking about 80 now?

Hi,

I'm a mustangforums sponsor. Let me know when you decide to go with a fuel pump. I offer many different brands and currently have a special on Holley fuel pumps, limited time only. Walbro is also fairly inexpensive. I also have BBK adj. fuel pressure regulators and easy to install fuel pressure gauges. . Let me know if you have any questions.

what do you mean by phat? i will dyno it sometime this summer. how can you tell if its spiking at 80, my fuel guage is by the motor i can see it when im running. so does that mean i will not have to get a Ajustabe FPR just a good pump

Hi Zex,

I believe what he means by "phat" is rich. You should definitely get an adjustable fuel pressure gauge and I would recommend an air fuel ratio gauge so you can tell how it's running when the nitrous is one. You don't want it running lean when you're spraying, and going up to a 125 shot with the stock fuel pump could be dangerous. With the regulator and the fuel ratio gauges you'll be able to tell how rich/lean it is under full throttle with the bottle and adjust the pressure accordingly. Did you check out the pumps on the website? The deal on the holley pumps will only be going on a little while longer, let me know if you decide to order something. Talk to you soon

i know with the NOS kit they say you can run 150 shot with the stock fuel system as long as you up the PSI to 60

With a 75 shot you dont have to do anything right? And isnt it considered safe for the engine? Where the hell would you refill the bottles?
