your cars are not going to be jerking back and fourth because of a cam. especially a small cam like the b-cam. something else is wrong

I agree with Ohsoquik02.

I'd look into a tune up, if that doesn't work then you might have some clutch issues.

I had a fairly radical cam in a previous car of mine that wasn't in it's powerband until 2200RPMS and never experienced any bucking because of it.

I just re-read your original post again because this isn't making sense to me, you aren't exactly at 'cruising' speeds at 1500 RPMS in 1st & 2nd gear. If have rear gears that are taller than 3.55's you will experience major bucking. <edited><editID>Dan02GT</editID><editDate>37999.033275463</editDate></edited>

what is some advanteges to having a 160 thermostat as apose to a 195? if any,... and i just gave my car a complete tune up... and it doesnt hesitate on acceleration, but when its idleing and i tap the gas real real quick, like instant on and off it has a lil bit of a hesitation, but it doesnt seem to affect the overal ecceleration, is this normal? im sure its not... any ideas? i put a Tlight on it, and the timming was right, even advanced 1 or 2 deagres.... any thoughts would be helpful</P>

there is advantages of a lower tstat by letting the car run cooler. but if a 5liter stang doesnt hit 178degrees it never gets out of run up mode. in this mode the car is setup to run rich and rough so it can warm up quicker.
hesitation could be a few things. where is your tps set in relation to your timing. and the best way to tune acar is a dyno. the other way is seat of pants. make small adjustments and with one thing at a time to find out what it is that needs adjusted. but remember when adjusting s**t if it didnt fix it put it back to where it was. so you dont run into muliple problems down the line

lol ok then why does my car do it also ? It will just be cruiseing normal then when comming to a stop or anytime almost at any speed below 50 mph at below 2000 rpm it will lug like a son of a bitch. Its because of the B cam. I have heard that from about 5 people now.</P>

noway in hell a little as cam like the b cam is going to cause that problem and if you dont use the gas all sticks buck back and forth. if that little as cam did that then it would of had a nice article on it.

you only have 480 lift and a e cam has 498
b cam224/224 480/480
e cam220/220 498/498

youre cam is only .038 larger then a stock cam. the one cam we installed my buddies ride is a .525 and he doesnt have any jerking just a horrible idle. had to adjust idle up around 920rpms.

and if this cam isnt causing problems i know your little step above stock isnt causing the problem but, i hope you find out what it is. maybe someone advanced the cam and it is cause problems.
