1.6 Roller Rockers
 

My friend wants to sell me his 1.6's for 110 bucks , i have a stock engine , would it be pointless to get them for what ? thx

There a good mod no matter what you have,but if you plain on keeping the stock cam i would suggest 1.7's,but with a performance grind cam 1.6's would be fine..

for now waste of time and money. you wont see any gains from them. now if buildinga motor then yes get them if jsut looking for a quick HP fix then they arent what you want

I gain a good little amount in the SOTP area when we installed them on my buddys BONE STOCK fox,plus he got them at a good deal so i wouldn't say they are a waste....but there is better mods out there for that amount of money..

Actually 1.7's,don't start your smartass crap with me again..............................And i know that most of the power was from the extra valve lift added but your also going from a standard 1.6 with lot's of friction to a 1.6 with none..Friction=power robber

hehe just had to point out that 1.7s yes give a gain. a 1.6 wont

the gain you get is about 2hp if that. its not something you see at this moment its something that will help show total gains when matched up to a built setup
