Default electric fan on my 92

which electric fan is perfered for my 92 gt? the lincoln of the taurus? is there any years in which the install would be easier? that horse power sucking fan has got to go!!!

id say its not worth it i got one for my 92, and you couldnet tell any power, and the this was loud as F. i put my stock one back on after 3 days.

What fan did you go with? I am just about to complete my Taurus fan install and it wasnt that loud.

i cant remember the name it was the good one thats in all the mustang mags, that can adjust, i took it back and said it was brocken to get my 300 bucks back haha. well i hope your fan works out better then that mine, it sucks having to change it back once you put it all in.

89-95 taurus 3.8 liter cars and front wheel drive lincolns. you will need a 130amp alt.

I had a taurus fan, and all was good, till my thermostatic controller turned the fan on, it kept popping the 30 amp fuse.

those fans pull around 70 amps on initial startup. they do cool it down okay, but it is better to hook up a switch, or use a high amperage relay.

I was pissed to change back to the stock fan on the side of the highway.
the stock one works fine.
some people just hook the fan straight to the battery and a switch.
but going that way you might forget to turn it on.

i have a SN(% fan on my car and i have it hooked up to a temp switch but im going to change that to a regular switch so i can have control of it and also this fan has 2 settings fast and a slow speed
