check oil light

my check oil light comes on randomly as i drive. the oil pressure is fine its not leaking and the levels are fine. what can be cuaseing it to come on?

how do you know the oil pressure is fine?

on the side of the oil pan there is a wire that goes in the pan, the wire could be loose or the sender could be messed up.

I wouldnt use stock gauges to say the pressure is fine though.
