RE: B&M Shifters
The B&M shifter is a good shifter. You hear a bit more about the Tri-Ax becasue it's a very good shifter. The B&M and the Pro 5.0 don't hit 3rd quite as well as the Tri-Ax does. Let me know what you decide to go with and I can get you a price. I try to give MustangForum members special discounts, and I can usually beat most advertised prices. I am a MustangForums sponsor. Hope to hear from you soon

RE: B&M Shifters
I've seen a lot of posts for shifters recently. I'd like to say that if we can get a group purchase together, 2 or more people, for a Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter, I can offer you a $5 discount on the price, and don't forget, with Pro Mustang Performance, orders over $50 get free shipping. If we can get 5 people, I'll cut $10 off the price. The normal price is $179.99. Remember, that's free shipping, so it's $179.99 shipped to your door. Let me know what I can do for you

RE: B&M Shifters
I'm new to the scene and just picked up a 94 Cobra for myself... Pro Mustang Performance... i noticed that we are both in the same state...and not too far away from each other (not that anything is too far away in RI) But maybe we could talk some time about ways to get a lil more out of my cobra.
I've been looking into a shifter, my boss (has 5 mustangs himself) recommended me to the PRO 5.0 shifter b/c it has the adjustable stops to keep you from bending the 3rd gear shift fork... supposedly one of the more common causes of tranny failure with the t-5. Whats your take on this???

RE: B&M Shifters
Hi Keith,
The Pro 5.0 is a good shifter, and the adjustable stops are definitely a plus. The Tri-Ax also has adjustable stops, and hits third a little better. The adjustable stops are a godo thing to have. As far as bending the shift fork, I've never heard of it actually happening, but that's the idea behind the stops, to minmize wear. They're definitely a good thing to have, especially if you like to bang the gears (who doesn't?) Give me a call sometime, 401-438-0461. Talk to you soon

RE: B&M Shifters
do yourself a favor and get the Pro 5.0. i dont like the B&M, dont like the Hurst, and my friend broke a tri-ax...........the Pro 5.0 is the only one thats actually stood up to his driving. get the Pro 5.0. i have one, and havent looked back since. its a little louder than the others, but, imho, it feels more solid than the others also, so, id rather have noise, and better quality/strength, than, no/less noise and not as strong. get the Pro 5.0 !!!!
