LOL....I'm not kidding myself man. I know I ran a 14.2 I have no shame in that. BTW, I am a pretty good driver so suck my ***** You still don't get what DA is do you?? Well, I'm not explaining it again. I don't claim to have run in the 13's.
Ok, so now you're claiming low 13's with 410's and et streets??? hahahaha, ok bud you keep thinking that.
WTF, this thread isn't about MY times. I didn't claim anything about what my car could or couldn't do. So STFU! You're giving people the false hope that if they go get 410's and et streets on their stock 5.0 that they run low 13's. I'm sorry but that's just not right. Is it possible? Maybe, but 99% of 5.0's will not see those times with the mods you listed.
dude, this is getting old fast. air desnity at a high altitude is less than a low altitude, i told you that in the very beginning...i think you don't know what it is

first off.....yes you are claiming to have capably run 13.80's.....look at your sig
your corecting for an altitude that doesn't exist...whether you ran in san diego (via your sig where you live) or sacramento (where you say you live now) they are both sea level cities.

and you are showing an altitude corrected time like your capable of running 13.80's
it is you who is missing something my friend.

i never claimed i could run 13.80's all stock, i said 14.30's.......i was referencing your retarded sig claims....i said on et streets and 4.10's on a '89 5-speed all else stock it ran 13.20's

and yes...anyones foxbody w/ a 5-speed and 4.10's on cheater slicks can do this.....can they personally do it??? who knows.
but the car will be capable

but the question was are 4.10's the best. i offered my personal experience w/ timeslips...and you chimed in w/ your 2 cents saying it was impossible. make a post and take a poll.........no, most guys don't run that...and most guys run street tires too. doesn't mean they can't

and as far as my reaction times.....2 of the 3 times i posted had marginal RT's.....it doesn't mean every time i run it's not in .500-.600 range. i'm usually pretty good.

those are the 2 best ET's on that car w/ that combo thats why they were posted. if you are a .500 bald driver on every run post 'em up....your sure to get sponsored...but i see you have chose not to.
the 12.50 run i happened to be running the same big block camaro i ran just b4 that....and was watching him not the light.

BTW, if i said that was a 100 shot on the 12.50 i was mistaken...it was 75

he treed me and i still beat him.

but this is getting retarded now.....everything you said (whether in your sig or previous post)you are now going back on, and claiming that i said it.

i think you need to get a mustang and actually run it....then go from there

I know it what it is. When you do your DA it obviously takes in account altitude but it ALSO does the temp and humidity!! I calculated my DA because I wanted to know what kind of times to expect under perfect conditions.......for me that means cooler weather. Do you realize that weather affects your ET?? That is all I'm trying to say. I ran my car in when it was super hot. Your times are significantly worse in hot, humid weather.

I never said you claimed 13.8 stock.

So yeah, I think your claims are a little bogus.....so what? I wasn't trying to be dick about it. I just didn't agree with you.....and I asked if anyone could back it up. No one did.

I personally find it hard to believe that a fox with 410's and tires can run low 13's. That's all I'm saying. You just jumped down my throat attacking my times and being a fOcking dick. I
I was questioning your info because it just doesn't sound right. You got so butthurt about it you start talking **** about my car. Deal with it. If you just responded without being a dick then this whole arguement would have never happened.

I'm not going back on anything I said. I'm just mature enough to give you the benefit of the doubt that by some act of GOD that a stock 5.0 with 4.10s and tires could hit low 13's. I seen some crazy things happen at the track. I done discussing this with you. You gave your info on 410's and that fine. Just don't be a jerk and attack me for questioning your claims.

I have seen many near stock 5.0s hit low-mid 13s. Hell, even quik recently posted his car that hit like a 13.3 with very minimal stuff done. Everyone of them that I have seen do it has been a notch though. I just don't see how you can't believe it devinsteen, they are much lighter than your car and can hit relatively low times stock. Gears usually make a HUGE difference in most foxes, so a low 13 is definately not out of the question. Simply put, notches are the best.

you better gain alot more then 12.5s with 100 shot.

355s got me 13.3 in a 5speed car

It is a five speed. Well, what about nitrous? How much more horsepower would that give me?

nothing wrong w/ 4.10's in a 5-speed. i do it. rpm's are about 200-300 more than w/ 3.73's.

expect to tach about 3k at 70 in 5th gear.

and expect to run 13.20-13.40 on the 4.10's and cheaters w/ nothing else.

and as far as nitrous...how much hp do you want?

4.10's and a 100 shot will run 12.50's in a 5-speed.

all the smaller kits can be jetted for 75,100, 125 some up to 150. after that you need a different style kit, auxillary fuel pump etc. but you can get a 2 stage big shot kit that adds 500 hp.

That can't be right. 3K at 70 in 5th??? Can anyone else confirm that. Running low 13's with just 410's?? I'm not buying that for a second.

i run 355s and ran low 13s. driver is big part of it
ORIGINAL: nitrous_bob

my non-existant 1st gear pulls like a brick $hithouse.13.20's on NA and 12.50's on a 75 shot and my buddy's '92 gt 100% stock w/ 4.10's and et drags yanked the tires 6"

and here is a timeslip to you haters....btw...if you have an overweight newer gt of course your not gonna run low 13's.
look at the mph...you can see it's all stock
2nd is on a 75 shot

but hey....don't believe me, keep running 3.55's and other crap gears and wonder why you can't get out of the 14's.....of course...you will get 1-2 mpg more than me...thats like about $20 bucks a year savings......sounds like it's worth it to me ?????

and theres still more in the car. i see a high 12 or a flat 13 in the spring. plan on skinnys/better tires and leaving off limiter. drop my 60' and its there. since rule of thumb is ever .1 off the 60' is about .2 off ET.

alot of the times have to do with how you setup a car and drive. if you lift off the throttle you will be slower. steep gears are sometimes bad since youll be past powerband to much. you want to be in powerband the most in 4th gear. hell i shift at 4500rpms and got what i did. wonder why so low cause car dies off after that. hell that was also with 11* of timing.K&N panel filter, flows, ORhpipe. its not a hard thing to see with a Notch. If i had a hatch i would be pretty close to what i am now. its driver mostly.

Girls, you're both pretty! Let's kiss and make up and keep it on topic, huh?
Ok guys listen to the newb...Hmm i think i got a new name for you......DR PHIL!

And low 13's in a basicly stock fox in good running condition if not far out of reach by no means. All depends on DA,driver and most important tires.
