Default Idling Problems / Please Help

My car is idling from 900-500rpms and sometimes shutting off at idle. I did a tune up w/ new plugs and wires. I took out the autolites gapped at 40 and replaced them with motorcraft gapped at 32. Had problems with the idling so I tought it might be the gapping. I then put in Bosch +4 platinum plugs and car did the same. I spoke to motorsport guy at a locale dealer and he said don't use platinum plugs in a supercharged car, doesn't work well. Anyway I cleaned my throttle body and Iac and my car is still running ****ty. I even adjusted the time from 10-16 and that doesnt make a difference. When I pulled the spout connector off the car, the car idles fine. Some please help. The car is a 1995 5.0 supercharged...

sounds like it is timed wrong......are you positive you were on plug #1? 1st one closest to the fron of the car on the right (passenger) side. are you certain you are using btdc?

the scale will go from 10-0-20

10-0 is atdc..........0-20 is btdc.

if anything....go to 0* and see what happens.

because it idles right w/ the SPOUT out.....i really think it's a timing issue.

mine usually idles low and crappy w/ the spout out....then gets smooth when i plug it back in.

No cause if the spout is out, that means that the computer isn't being use to affect the idle or iac or mass air sensor, and its mechanical. So if the car is running mechanial fine with the spout out, then that means it should be a computer error . right???

Timing was set at 16, I did the plugs, then putit back to 10,then 12, thern 14, now back to 16. If i don't have it at 16, the car stalls out.
