took my car out today noticed something funny. only noticed it when I hit the brakes the idle jumps up to 1500 then falls back to normal. I tried it a couple more times and the same thing happened. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

its normal, the computer raises the idle to compensate for the vacuum loss used for the brakes.

If it didnt do it before try cleaning the EGR valve, as well as the IAC valve my truck was loading up on fuel at idle and I cleaned the both of them and it cured my problem right up!

thanks for the info will try cleaning egr, iac needs replaced, could that be part of my problem

the RPM'S shouldn't go up to 1500 no.
