I go with the 89's they had MAF from Factory and the block was stronger in the early years rather than later years! The only think I like better about the new years is the steering wheel!

90! (like mine) ...forged pistons was 87 to 92 (93 was hypereutectic crap), 87-88 had speed density (no good... 90+ is mass air), in 1990+ they got air bags, so basically 90 to 92 are the same and the best ...except 90 was the 25th anniversary, it got special anniversary badges and a leather shift ****... nothing extraordinary but still got a little something over the others.

I have to disagree. A MAF car has the ability to acuratly Measure the temp, density, humidity and amount of incoming air. This results in the ability for the computer to better meter fuel for the engine. Were-as the SD cars make a calculated geuss at these variables. SD also use one other crippling factor when making calculations, the volumetric efficiency of the engine which is about 75%. This VE assumption is why modding A SD car is tough, because you are always fighting with the fact that the computer can't see the amount of incomming air and assums the VE of the car is 75%, which is not the cas with modded cars. I think the old story of SD cars being faster than MAF cars stock for stock is an old wives tale.

Just my two cents

you can tell me all the bs the facts are there. with a SD car there isnt any restriction in the air intake. i speak from experience. not only one SD car but two SD cars

yes modded a MAF car is better to a point. then once you hit a certain point most MAF cars go back to SD actuallly they go to a standalone SD setup

actually the true 25th ani car is the 89. the early 90s are the other 25ths. if you do the math 25 years from 64 1/2 is 89!!!!!!!! thus why 89s are the first year for teh 25th ani. then they decided to carry it over for the 90s

and SD is good, you can run 11s with a SD car. its just when you change vaccum readings when SD starts to crap out
