MSD Ignition

I just bought the msd ignition box and i am installing it right now but I can not figure out where to mount the box at. I have a 91 lx and it is supercharged so the passenger side is kind of off limits and the driver side has all types of **** over there. So if someone could help me on where people usually put the box that would be great.

I've seen many right where the battery goes, which means you have to mount the battery in the hatch.

Yes, I detailed a guys Sn95 and he made a diamond plate cut out to fit over the battery tray and mounted the box right to that. Alot of guys mount them to the firewalls

I did mine right under my CAI, on the left side, doesnt work if you have stock air box.

not to steal your post but does anyone know if you can use the msd boost retard ignition box on a n/a motor?

You probably can but doesn't retard ignition timing at higher rpms. That would definitly cause power loss on a n/a motor.

yeah i know it would do that but, it is adjustable so i can make it so it would not adjust it much, but i want to get an ignition box but im looking into turbocharges so i dont want to be pining in higher rpms

Hey, keep that box away from heat sources or you'll be buying another one.
If call MSD's 1-800 number and ask them they'll send you a real good tech book on everything they make........

you could mount it on the bottom of the sub frame, i have seen that, on the drivers side under the battery not under under, but on the oppsite side of the sub frame. if you want o do the extra wiring you could mount it under the driver or passingers seat.
