Default WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

Hi All,</P>

I have a 94 GT Mustang. I have a full Kenny Brown Road Race Suspension installed with panhard rod and trakit plus, sportsprings, tokika shocks and struts, caster camber plates, energy suspension bushingsand all the other bracing and goodys. I put on a new flywheel and a competion clutch. I just dropped my cats and put on the prochamber from Mac with thier stainless mufflers.</P>

I am looking to put on a supercharger. Should I put on aftermarket heads and a cam first or just go with a supercharger? Am looking for around 400 horspower at the flywheel. Am not going to race car, it's a daily driver. It's my wifes trasportation to and from work(I have a supercrew with a Borla exhaust, upgraded suspension and wheels, upgraded performance brakes, Intake, Superchip, new taillights from APC and soon a new one piece billet grill from PRECISION.) Will Dyno car as other parts get put on and get custom programming for computer. As for the supercharger was thinking about a Kenne Bell unit. Like the fact I get full boost around 2000 rpm.</P>

Any ideas from you gurus out there?</P><edited><editID>DShoop</editID><editDate>37999.4070023148</editDate></edited>

well with all the sup/ mods you wil be hard pressed to get 400 hp to hook....so I would look to mod to help lighten the front end and give you some hp to boot as 94's are a lil heavy so here in my suggestions

set of 165 afr's with 1.7 rocker
a cam with a narrower c/l to help the car rev faster
3:73 gear
put the battery in the trunk
put a rear seat delete in it
pulleys w/ a 100 alt.
ram air affect induction
trick flow or comp. intake
tubalur a-arms
lighten rims and tires
alum. drivershaft
equal length headers
tri-axle shifter
frame connectet
tweecer or pms
notice not radical and all these things will make it faster lighter better handling and better mpg..and most of all fun to drive with no problems

It all sounds good. I want to keep rear seat since it is a daily driver. I have subframe connectors, am thinking about four point roll bar since it is a convertable. Have a Pro 5.0 shifter already. Am going for ceramic headers from Mac soon. Since I'm thinking of a Kenne bell supercharger, as far as I know that takes the place of the upper intake. Putting battery in the trunk is something that sounds good. Also by putting in aluminum heads would lighten front end around 75 pounds I think. I set the car up for road racing not the quarter mile so would 3.73 gears rev it up too much for highway speeds? Would 3.55 gears be better? I have underdrive pullys with K@ N filter installed already. The rocker mods I like and have been thinking of also the aluminum driveshaft.</P>

Thank you very much for the reply. I appreciate very much knowledge from other people who love thier rides.</P>

i would go a little more aggressive with the heads. check out www.trickflow.com for the h/i/c/rockers/pistins. they are perectly matched for eachother to put down great power. if it is a road rcaer (great decision <IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">) i would go with the 3.53 gears. i would also get longtubes with an o/r x- or h-pipe. and you will need a tweezer (unless you make the decision to convert it to carb. that will save you major bling bling). </P>

and how is that suspension stuff?? i have been looking into maximum motorsports and their stuff is dank <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">. </P>

I know that a griggs setup is great, but I love the setup I have. Almost too low though, you have to watch the speed bumps. I can let go of the steering wheel, rev it up and drop the clutch and it tracks forward 100% straight. You can be going flat out and slam on the brakes and nose dive is nonexistant. The car rides like it is on rails and there is no rear end steer type feel the stock suspensionhas. At any speed it feels great. The prochamber from mac is a off road pipe that works better than a x or h pipe. Since I have 50,000 miles on motor i'm not going to far into it, just maybe heads, cam and supercharger with of course aftermarket headers. When the motor goes i'll go with a motor like maybe a 306 short block.</P>

My wife is just as much into speed and vehicles as I am. That's the only reason that I can spend what I do. I am going to supercharge my F150 supercrew also so i'll have a matching vehicle. We are 38 and 36 years old respectively and are still in our first childhood. We still want to go to Bob Bondurants school of driving and get our road racing licences. We are probably never going to race, but why have a car that is capable of it,if you don't have the skills to drive it like it should be. I have to admit that I started in on the suspension when I left the road backwards at 80 miles an hour. That is not going to happen aqain I hope<IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0"></P>

Here's an idea you drive the stang and poor tons of money into that and she can drive the truck. Just kiddin.</P>

Just like they said, some comp cams, heads, stroker kit, bigger throttle body with a bigger EGR, a new MAF, wires, ignition, TKO, somethings along that line.</P>

If I were you I would get everything else done to build up your engine and make it strong and then get a major power adder, just a thought. </P>

thanks you guys for all the info. It seems that you all are kind of in the same ballpark as me in what should be done. My wife when she read about her being spoiled doesn't agree. She said i'm the spoiled one being able to pour money into two vehicles. </P>

in honestly why is your goal 400fhp???? you said it is a daily driver. so be alittle realistic about your hp goals. you dont need 400hp to be fast... but if you do that will take some serious motor work since that is almost doubling the stock hp figures. your gonna have to go with displacement on this one. or FI. your goal is going to be costly. good luck
