Like I said, the only "major" mod I plan on, is exhaust..... I would like to do some minor, DIY mods..... just easy to do, cheap stuff....

Well go for the exhaust and a CAI maybe even some gears but it doesnt sound like your too into the modding so what ever floats your boat. Sounds like a good deal. Drive it and see howyou like it, make a sound judgement on whether or not its worth it.

the only fox body v8 that i dont like is a ricer one, and urs isnt riced out. i do like ur car, but i just prefer a hardtop (much stiffer chassis, lighter) and stick (a ton more fun).

EDIT: before someone calls me a hipocrit, my c4 is a manual valve body semi-built c4 which i pretty much got for free. im rebuilding it and throwing in a manual valve body for now (pretty much will be a manual without the clutch) until i can afford my t56 or TKO600

i've seen many mustangs mods and no mods that can carry way over 180k. don't let that be the deciding factor. no leaks if very important. look at the oil. look at the underbody. is the interior bad or good? (this might tell you about the person who owned it and how they took care of it). and 2500 is an ok deal. drive it though. offer 2200 and see what they say. they might say yes, or they might go to 2400 which will save you 100 bucks. either way, win win.

good luck

Well, I just noticed something, it doesn't look like the conv. model has any kind of roll bar[]

I wonder how much it would cost me to have one installed..... I'd hate to roll in one w/o a bar....

You can get a rollbar, it may run you a few hundred bucks but they also look nice with the top down in the fox bodied verts. mkspeed26, I was just givin ya **** . But hell yeah, go for it, I bought mine for $2300 with 140,000 miles on the clock and it was completely bone stock it even still had the air silencer, and since then it has just done me wonders. I was also going to start out with just some minor mods at first, i.e. exhaust blah blah blah, but it will suck you in, once you see the gains and the sound that you get from the exhaust it will just suck you in.
