agreed if you get rid of the smog, loose the cats. do it right the first time, plus the more weight you take off the better which isn't much. of course your car will be alot louder without the cats

I dont know about the 95....but my 92 just needed a short belt and routing it a different way...if you look at it long enough I think you may be able to figuire it out....thats what I did....I could prob show you a picture....but our motors are slightly different.

to find out what size belt you need ( this is how i did it)
cut your old belt then route it around the pulleys just like it was w/ the smog on
and where it over laps either cut it or mark it, then stretch it out on the ground
and measure it and thats the size you need

I deleted mine and measured the size of the shorter belt by routing some string around the pulleys and getting a belt the same length.

I would think that if so many people have done this that someone out there should have a part number for the correcet shorter belt..?

I cant help you with a correct part number, because i have removed and bypassed my smog pump, removed A/C compressor and relocated power steering pump to where the A/C was with a different bracket but mine is the same belt of a 97 mercury mystique 4 banger without A/C. It should be a sticky though for people asking the correct size belt for smog pump, or A/C delete or both. But deleting the A/C causes the belt to rub on the tensioner on its way down to the power steering pump unless you modify the tensioner.

care to elaborate on that?
Does it still rub if you use the FMS ac delete? The one where it relocates the power steering like you have done? Assuming you are also bypassing the smog
