Default smog pump

I'm wanting to doing a smog pump delete. My questions are, what will that do to the computer (codes)? What will happen to the cross over tubes (back of the motor), and the pipe coming from the h-pipe? I know that I will get a couple of horses out of it. I'm doing it because my smog pump needs to get replaced and I don't feel like paying $150 for a new pump when I can buy an eliminator kit for $50. Any insight on this would be great.

removing the smog pump permanatly is not recommended running cats, they will clog up. Dont buy the delete kit its money wasted. Remove the smog pump and use a shorter belt and plug the two lines wherever it is easier for you.

I didn't think that the cats would clog up if I didn't have a smog pump. I was thinking of just getting a shorter belt and leaving the smog pump on the car so that when it's time for inspection I don't fail because I don't have the smog equipment.

do it & you will clog up your cats & if that happens then your cats become more of a restriction then they already are.

Just so you know if you remove your cats your exhuast will get louder but shouldn't be too much. the only way to gain anything is to loose the weight & the restriction.
