Default cobra intake manifolds

These cobra intake manifolds are for 86-93 but it is possible for them to fit my 95 5.0. What parts would i need and what would i need to do so i can fit the 89-93 manifolds on my 95 gt?

all you need is the intake adapter, but i have seen people use the intakes without them, and just buy an 89-93 along with some other stuff

Now by an adapter, you mean an elbow adapter, right? Are you sure thats all i need...i thought it would be a little more complicated.

I also am going to install a 70mm throttle body so would i need a special adapter for that as well or should i be good to go?

i have researched this specific intake quite extensively. you should use an elbow adapter & it only has a 65mm opening, so a 70mm will not work. the bolt holes will not even match up, other than that it should bolt right up. let me know how this works out, i would like to know how it performs (expect 15-25hp)

heres some corrections, a 70mm throttle body has the exact same bolt holes as a 65mm or a 75mm, they will all work.

why not get a better performing manifold than the cobra?
the cobra intake is only good to 350hp.
edelbrock rpm is around the same price, and the professional products is way less.
you dont need the elbow for it to work, but your intake piping wont fit anymore,
I guess it would be cheaper to just get the elbow, rather than make new intake piping and modifying it to fit.

if the intake opening is only 65mm and you purchase a 70mm throttle body, it isnt hard to open up the intake to match.

heck, I did it with my stock manifold.

my point is that there are much better manifolds out there.

Alright, now should i buy the throttle body for 86-93 with the adapter or for my year car 94-95. I just want to make sure i have everything right before i start buying parts so i dont have to bother with returns. Thanks

why rig it when all you have to do is buy an elbow then you can buy a tb for a 94-95. i may be wrong about the bolt holes they could match up but it is recommened you use a 65mm for best performance. i have heard good & bad things about the professional products intake, the edelbrock is a pretty good intake.

the size of throttle body will depend on what your complete plans are,
if you go supercharged you will make more power with a 70-75mm tb,
for n/a a 65mm is an ideal choice,
unless you have a H/C/I combo, then a 70mm will make more power.
