exhaust valve is smaller than the intake valve, so some people think you need more lift/duration to get the gasses out. I'm not 100% sure though, since the gasses are under serious pressure they'll flow lots faster.

But I wouldn't go with a cam that had more lift on the intake side.

its a pretty much known fact that small block fords run better with a bigger exhaust duration and exhaust lift

its soooo obvious if you think about it and common sence... your exhaust lift should be slightley bigger, ask anyone who builds engines...
ive never heard of doing it the opposite, and honostly... it dont make much sence to me...

Ya it makes a ton of sense, seeing how the valve is so much smaller... What are some better numbers?

My set up is 76 mm, 70mm tb, Trick flow Track Heat intake, Gt-40 ported and polished heads, B303 cam, BBK shorties, o/r x pipe, flowmasters, electric fan, pulleys, ac delete, 3.73s, eibach springs... few others

Will be making the switch to AFR 185 heads sooner or later... thats why im looking into a new can the B303 is a tad on the small side i think lol

LOL.yeah the ford cams just arnet up to par.i have the X303 right now,but they are way to uniform(542/542.224/224)i have a brand new comp cam sitting in the car waiting for my new heads(if i decide to buy them)i talked to a few differant companys and comp came up with a nice grind 569/572...235/240. the way they described it is its supposed to raise my rpm a bit and keep the valves open a little longer.
