Default My first check engine light...

Hey guys I got my first check engine light today, the car felt slow before it came on and I remember that it felt like it missed once when I floored it. BlackSnake is sending me a code reader, but I was just wondering if anyone has any idea of what might be going on. Merry christmas to me lol.

Well the 02 sensors are nearly brand new, only like 3000 miles on them. I really don't think that it's the MAF that's causing problems because I've ran that MAF for nearly 750 miles now and I'm pretty sure that it would've turned on before that, but it's wierd, because after that, it didn't turn on again.

Yeah I know that I don't need it, but an OBD I code reader for 22 bucks, I'm not going to pass it up, that's a helluva deal. So anyways, the CEL hasn't came back on, but I still wanna see what the reader says. Is it going to throw any codes for the bypassed smog and not having cats? Any codes that I should ignore if they come up?

Mine throws a code for the smog pump since its bypassed. Its something like thermactor air control valve not responding. I don't have a check engine light on my 86 so it isn't a problem.
