My friend has a build 88 T-Top GT and has an older style Paxton. Its quiet till you stand on it, then she whines with that awsome SC sound.

Prochargers are pretty squeeky sounding... like an ungreased bearing sound during idle.
To an untrained ear it sounds like something is wrong.
They sound good when winding them up though... by-pass valve sounds cool too.

One good thing about Prochargers is that the oil is self-contained... although is it kind of a pain to change it.
But if you blow up the engine, atleast none of that contaminated oil will get into the blower and ruin that too.

Like basically everyone else here, I dont have any personal experience w/ superchargers but Ive heard great things about prochargers. Ive also heard great things about the newer style novi's. Dont go w/ an older one though. I would seriously consider the procharger depending on the price. Also, make sure to ask him for receipts when you look at it *if you do*.

If I had a blower I would want the loudest blower possible.... just my opinion I guess.
