Drop tranny to find out...
That i need a new clutch. I was in the process of dropping the tranny to replace a leaky rear main seal and tranny fluid. So in the process i replaced tranny seals, u joints, and synthetic fluid. The clutch was almost gone, being that this is my first high performance car i didnt feel that the clutch was slipping or anything. So i ordered a valero clutch assembly from the local auto parts store. I know i should put a beefed up clutch but money is real tight right now.
Question is what needs to be done to install a dive shaft loop? I have one laying around and figured i should go ahead and install it. I do all the work in my uncles shop, he has two lifts and all the tools i need. He just guides me to what i need to do. I learned alot about my car today and have renewed my love for working on cars. Nothing like dropping a tranny and having it back up in a couple of hours knowing that it will perform better.
Enough with my rambling on. If yall could give me some hints on what i should do while the car is in the air and some pointers would be great. Love the website and I AM A MUSTANG GUY FOR LIFE!
