Default 5.0 GT Mustang Purchase

I am about to buy a 1995 GT convertible man. trans. with 71k miles on it. Could I get some feedback on some pros and cons for this mustang. Is it a fair deal for $8,500? Thanks!

i think that's a little much. good side to this car; 5 speed, and 5.0!!! bad side; convertables are hevier than coupes. offer 7,500 and go from there

good luck

ah but converts have a lot more "fresh air"!!! If you want a car to "race" get a coupe. But nothin beats a hot convert in the dead of summer. Besides, you can always remove the sound deadening tar from the floors since a convert isnt quiet anyways. Then you will be closer in weight.

I just bought my wife a 95 coupe GT 5-speed with 98K for $6500 so $8500 doesn't sound bad for an asking price. It's not like anyone pays what people ask.

I'm looking at a '95 GT conv w/AT, leather, same miles, and I'm going to offer $7k. A very clean one just sold for $9k but it had 44k and was like new, I mean it still had the new car smell.

Top 8K (cause it's a convertible and the fun is awesome).

I got my GF a '99 convertible GT, triple black for 15K and she started complaining it was too loud, it had too much power, yaddah yaddah yaddah.....So I sold it and got a 2000 convertible V6 (go figure) for 14K....(what I should have done was sold her and kept the car)
