Default spark plug problems please help

Alright guys, I have an 88 mustang with aluminum edelbrock heads, cam, and blower. I have spark plugs that fouled. I went to advance auto parts last time to replace them. They know nothing about cars, anyway. The car had motorcraft in them, nobody had the motorcrafts. So advance changed them to autolites no. 764. Im wondering if these are too hot for the blower. From what im reading this is the stock heat range. Maybe im wrong, someone please advise me on what I should get? Thanks

From what I know, you need a stronger spark with a blower. It becomes harder to cause combustion as you increase the environment pressure. It also becomes harder to create an arc. As the air is more dense it take exponentialy more volts to arc the spark. If it happens again, try tightenning the GAP on the plugs.

764 plugs are the wrong plug for Ebrock heads! 764's are taper seat plugs for stock style heads. When 764's are used in Ebrock heads the electrode does not stick past the end of the spark plug hole into the combustion chambers which can cause all sorts of funny issues. You need Autolite 3923 or 3924's (23's are colder) which are gasket seat 14mm, 3/4 reach plugs. Gap them to .032-.035 and take the sharp edges off the ground strap with you're sisters nail file.
