Front seat mount is busted on my 89 vert and I want to get some ideas for the best way to repair. I'm justing starting the rebuild process and will be putting subframe connectors on. Anybody dealt with this issue? Was thinking off fabbing something to mount to the subframes.

mounting to the subfremes would be best, but the subframe will hav a tab that goes right under the seat mount holes (if u buy it with seat mounts) so u wont have to worry about that. i would say go to a junkyard and get one from there

I had the same problem with mine and ended up having it welded a couple times before taking matters into my ownhands. Here's what I did. I went to a junkyard and cut 2 off with a saw saw and a die grinder. I left about 2 inches on both sides of the stud and went all the way down to the pan. Once I had both of them off, I cut a 3" by 5" piece or round about, square piece from the same floor pan. I took everything home and first fitted the pieces with the studs over the area where they should be and used a couple small machine screws at the bottom to secure it. then I cut a hole big enough for the stud throug one of the other pieces and laid it over the stud going the opposite direction, fitted it nice and snug and screwed it down. Then I used larger machine screws to secure at the top, and it hasent given me a problem yet. It sits a little higher, but only about 1/4 inch.

Take the fram off and either weld it or go to a junk yard and pay 25 bucks for it.
