Is there some form of clip inside to remove it to make it slide up any help would be appreciated normally in the past have always seen some form of socket head cap screw thanks guys .

mine has a small allen screw right at the base near the glass.

Yeah unscrew it and then it should slide up and there should be a little black or metal piece that it slides onto. You can take a heat gun most likely n heat it up to get the little piece off not sure on a stang tho havent had to take mine off yet, but ive put windshields in other vechiles and thats how we do it.

93 should still be the allen head set screw. But ford switched to different mirrors over the years. Plus you never know if a prev owner changed it or not. The best thing to do is post a pic of it. All of the newer style ( ones without the set screw) slide down from the top onto the button on the glass and clip on. The easiest and probably best thing to do is to take it to a auto glass shop and ask a tech to remove the mirror, thow him $5 and call it a day. They should have the proper tool to get it off without breaking the glass. I know we have them.
