Default hood and bumper problems

The title on my 87 stang says its a lx but the insurance and registration says its a gt. My problem is that the hood hangs over the bumper about 2 inches. What can be wrong with it? Are lx and gt bumbers interchangeable?

The factory hoods are no more than 50" long. It has to be the wrong hood. Show some pictures.

ya sounds like it was hit in the front. also you should try the edit option in the top right corner that way you don't have 3 posts in a row, unless you like carrying on a conversation by yourself.but no ones gonna be able to help you without pics.1`
