Get it off of there soon. That stuff is like cancer. I just replaced both floor pans and it's not cheap. If its a big job find a shop that will blast it for you. Then spray a couple times with rust repellant.

You have to remove the seats, console, sill plates, kick panels and carpet. Its not an easy job, especially if you dont have the right tools. Theres two support brackets criss crossing eachother one on top (with the studs for the seats) and the other underneath that you have to cut around and weld the pans to. The pans themselves arent that expensive. About $100 each for the complete side. Its just the labor that blows.

It just takes time. If you have the air tools and a welder you shouldnt have a problem. The cross member inside the cabin is spot welded so you may be able to drill them out. Im not sure about the one underneath. I bought my pans from Doc's Mustang Parts. They had the best price.
