is there any other warning signs of a cylinder not firing, that i would be able to tell while driving? would the car even drive at all?

The car will drive in most instances. The most relaible sign is a lost of power, idling problems. The easiest way to check is with a multi meter. Then inspect the cap and rotor for looseness and cracks. Check the continuity of each wire. If there are no problems there inspect your plugs. When was the last time you changed them?

if u had like 2 wires crossed you wouldnt really be able to tell if u werent use to ur car and it was just sitting in the garage or whatever and u started/revved it. I had two wires crossed for a year andthe car sounded fine until i took it on the road and drove it. Got out the firing order and fixed in the OMG what a difference!
