2 ways to slice the cake.
Keep driving the car and just go get a new Dart block ($2500 or so) or get a rebuildable core from the wrecker. The 'Pull-a-Part' type found in most bigger U.S. cities would be the route I'd take. Around here 5.0 complete engines are $140.
This way you can take your time about the rebuild while still driving the car.......

If you're gonna get an aftermarket block, you might as well get one w/ a 9.5" deck height to make room for long rods. The thing with that is you'll need a 351W lower intake
