Default Rocke Arms?

I was wondering when the best time to get rocker arms would be, what size is the most beneficial, and will getting better rocker arms on a basically stock 5.0(minus cai tb exhaust) give some more power to a 5.0.?~thanks

the best time to do it really is when you get new heads, and i'd get 1.7's
or at least put new valve springs in your stock heads, those old stock springs
will let the valves hang open

If you put 1.7s on the stock heads with stock valve springs, the springs wont last long. I would go to the junk yard and pull some heads off a GT40 explorer and throw on the 1.7 RR and put it in your ride.

A nice Port and plish job with some new valves would really help in the HP department.

Hi,

Anytime is a good time to upgrade to a set of roller rockers. They will extend valvetrain life and free up a little horsepower. Dyno tests have shown that going with 1.7 ratio rockers over 1.6's will harness a little more power. I can offer you a set of Proform 1.7 Pedestal Mount Roller Rockers that will bolt right up to your current setup for $194.99 shipped to your door. Here is a link

Mustang 1.7 Roller Rockers

Let me know if you have any questions, hope to hear from you soon.

Yeah the RR will reduce friction and like said before you should get some new springs if you get the 1.7. The 1.6 ou wouldnt require them but the 1.7 will add just a little itsy bit of performance since the valves are opening more. Nothing that you can feel on a stock engine but you get the point.
